The 4th Round of Central Industry-level Negotiation for Year2020
This year, the third round of negotiation for industry-level collective bargaining began at 3:30 PM on 17th. And the number of representatives was reduced on both labor and management sides.
At the third negotiation, representatives reviewed the demand proposed by the KHMU, which can be summed up with ▲ Protection of Rights to Labor and Safety ▲ Labor-Management Cooperation to Overcome COVID-19 Crisis with Joint Tasks. ▲ Solution for the Medical Staff Shortage Issues. The main prerequisite of the proposal is “Overcoming COVID-19.”
Employers’ representatives mostly agreed to the Union’s proposal but made some comments more specifically on each item, based on their own deliberation conclusions.In the meantime, the KHMU proposed to make use of the Joint Fund of Labor and Management for research on wage conditions and how to reduce working hours in the medical sector. The 5th round will take place on 1st, July at reduced size in terms of number of representatives.
