The union member Park Moon-jin(nurse) who was fired 12 years ago by the Medical Center has protested on the 70 meter high roof from July 1^st 2019. She demanded fact-finding investigation on union-busting plans and punishment on those responsible for the oppression, restoration of trade union, reinstatement of fired workers, democratization of Yeungnam Academy, winning of basic labor law and abolishing of atypical working system. Song Young-sook, the vice president of the branch who protested together with her had to come down from the roof on October 15 due to deteriorated health conditions.
