l     The Year 2008, What are the working conditions of health and medical workers in Korea?

l     72% of the respondents complain about shortage of workforce, 30% say they have more than once considered job change.

 

57.3% of nurses say that they have considered job change due to heavy workload in preparation for the medical institution evaluation.

Average weekly working hours: 45.7 hours, Despite the five day workweek system, the working hour has been on the rise for the last four consecutive years.

Critical to the government's policies: opposition on the permit of the construction of profit-making hospitals- 83.4%, opposition on the grand canal project- 80.9%

The average situation of hospital workers in 2008 ? age: 33, seniority: 8.8 years, annual salary: 33.33 million won, 80%-female workers, 55%-nurses, 78%-college graduates, 57%-shift workers, 46%-singles
