Korean government attempts to revise the labor law which has malicious provisions, They says, it is necessary for us to ratify the ILO core conventions. It contains to extend the effective period of CBA , currently from 2 years to 3 years, to prohibit union members to occupy the workplace during the strike action, and prohibit union leaders of industry level to access the workplaces etc. Therefore KCTU extends lots of mobilizing activities such as sit-in rally, press conference, strikes and picketing. However, due to the spread of COVID 19 recently, the Seoul metropolitan city government prohibits to have the gathering of more than 10 people, so our activities need to diversify and minimize the size of gathering.
